Fabiolino's home! |

Almost ready...

As in the morning. Just five minutes more, please.
It's exactly like that. I feel like five minutes of peace more.
In five minutes I'll be ready to rock again, I promise!

Tomorrow I'll fly back home. Happy to go home and together scared of the coming months. A lot of work (A LOT!) is going to come.
On the other hand I'm sincerely happy of meeting again all the people of the project, some of them I missed heartly lately. It will be fun again, I'm sure.

The satellite is going to be integrated and tested: it's going to be great!
Will we be able to cope with the incredible stress? What will it be of us?

New photos!

Just a note, to say that I added a shitload of photos to my fotki account, with the latest parties where I was.
Possibly you'll like them!

There's also a bit of my A'dam house somewhere, find it!

I wonder

How many people read this blog?
one, nobody?
Is it a blog for myself? Is it something more?
Misteries....

And it sucks us in...

I have a wonderful job, so great that it sucks my life entirely. I'm willing to skip holidays, weekends and whatever for it, just to see it happen. Possibly that's simply being workaholic, but I think there's more than that.

My job is what many children follow as a dream: they want to become astronauts...
Well, we make it!

We become astronauts ourselves by sending our work in space. And every single time you think about that very piece of metal, that very bit of electronics, in space in one year from today, than you can be sure: a short, instantaneous and yet deep feeling of excitement will shake your body.

Van Gogh museum has more than Van Gogh

Now, I know that what I'm going to say might be taken as blaspheme, but I don't like Van Gogh so much!
I go to the van Gogh museum and the part which is definitely best is the msot disregarded by people, is the contemporary artists section.

Peasant woman nursing an infant

In this section you will find some real masterpieces, including this wonderful sculptur by Dalou. The woman is really there, simply caring for the child, not paying attention to world around her. It gives a deep view on the intimity of the scene, even increased by the people orbiting around the sculpture, many paying little or no attention at all to this event happening next to them.

Netherlands

European citizens

There is a new generation of people: the European generation.

It's made of people that cannot stay in the same place for too much time, the new nomads. Often having a homepage more than a home.

They speak, or at least could be understood, in several languages; often all together. They mix up fluently French, Spanish, German, English and then all the other similar languages. And they're not scared to be funny when mixing up them.

They're used to move every six months. They have a home, but cannot point where it is.

They feel European and from their own country.

They feel they don't have much to risk in moving around, they're ready to leave within one day for several months. They know better how to get the cheapest low cost airline, than to get the bus home.
